Architecture of Deepwood

The Deepwood home and carriage house are beautiful examples of Queen Anne Victorian Architecture. The architect, William C. Knighton, largely stayed true to the style that is typified by eclecticism, asymmetrical design and excess.  The home contains a variety of surface textures both on the exterior and within the home. The gabled roof, wrap-around front porch, large windows - especially long double hung windows, as well as stained glass help define the style. Of course to complete the look, Deepwood features an observatory, located in the turret of the home.
