SOLD OUT! Fragrance History Talk: Scents and Sensibility for the Victorian Age!

Saturday, August 9, 2025

Time:

3:00pm - 4:00pm

Description:

Unfortunately this history talk is SOLD OUT. Please visit our History Talks page to view availability of other history talks. Join us out in the gardens for this special talk where we will discuss how the language of flowers transitioned into fragrances during the 19th century. We will look at how modern perfumery began to take shape due to advances in chemistry, and changing tastes in olfactory self expression.

Please join Hilary Rayvis Randall as the Scent Sommelier for this mysterious exploration!

If you are sensitive to scents, this may not be the talk for you as there will be sampling of fragrance and scents during the talk.

Pre-registration is required even for Deepwood Members who receive free admission to help us prepare for the event.
