Plus, be sure to check out the following FREE educational programming held during both days of the event:
—10 am & Noon: Guided tours of our Nature Trails. See the beautiful Erythronium (Fawn Lilies) throughout the trails!
—11am & 1pm: Guided tours of our Formal Gardens led by the Lord & Schryver Conservancy.
—2pm: History Talk on the Hunt for Exotic Plants During the Victorian Era. Join us inside the Victorian home as we discuss the frenzied exploration, by intrepid botanists, whose mission was to bring back exotic plants for Victorian collectors!
The museum home will also be open for FREE guided tours at 9am, 10am, 11am, and Noon both days.
This event is designed to help people learn more about native species, so we will have experts available throughout the event to answer questions about plants you are interested in purchasing, those you already own, or species we have here at Deepwood.
A portion of all proceeds benefit Deepwood’s preservation and programs. This event is made possible through City of Salem TOT funding.
Easter Egg Hunt
Saturday, April 4th, 2026 1pm-2:15pm
A local family favorite is Deepwood’s Easter Egg Hunt! Alice Bretherton Brown Powell, the last owner of the beloved Queen Anne Victorian home held egg hunts for her grandchildren and the children of the community in her gardens, and we are proud to carry on her tradition. Bring the children and their baskets out for fun with egg hunts according to age group. This event is designed with Elementary school aged children (12 & under) in mind.
The Easter Bunny will be on the grounds for photo hopportunities!
A reminder will be sent before the event with the finalized schedule of egg hunt times according to age group.
All proceeds support Deepwood’s community programs and preservation of the home. Ticket sales help us offset the costs of the event. Thank you for supporting Deepwood’s mission of preservation, education, and enjoyment!
This event made possible through City of Salem TOT funding.
